The coastline of Cantabria is plenty of great beaches to enjoy. Here you will find just five of them. We hope you enjoy them!!
1 La Arnía
Located just 15 minutes from Santander, the beach of La Arnía is a small and singular beach. Surrounded by cliffs and geological formations, it forms a part of an environment adapted for the scuba diving, the fishing or the playtime.
2 Oyambre
More than 2 km make this beach ideal for walks along the western coast of Cantabria. This is one of the best preserved beaches in the region, lies within Oyambre natural park and it´s located between the villages of Comillas and San Vicente de la Barquera.
3 Langre
For many tourists, Langre is the most beautiful beach in Cantabria. Located on the coast of Trasmiera, just 1 km. from Langre, its frequented by surfers all year round. This is definitely a different beach.
4 El Puntal
In the Bay of Santander it is undoubtedly the meeting point of the people in the city during the summer. It is a spectacular, lovely, long beach that offers fantastic views of Santander city and Magdalena Palace. It is the first one in a line of three beaches. El Puntal, Somo and Loredo form the longest sandy ground of all Cantabria (over 8 km). Surrounded by dunes, El Puntal Beach is the most unspoilt of all three. Its access can be made from Somo or from Santander.
5 La Arena Beach
Beach on the coast of Trasmiera, situated at the foot of a coastal holm oak wood. Along the sandy area there are three very different zones: a family orientated main beach, a quite cove and the stuary area, to which we access on foot. The beach has also road access from the town of Isla, which is far more than 1 km.
The Arena has universal accessibility certification awarded by the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR), adding to the “select” group of Spanish beaches that have this certification. Endowed with numerous services to facilitate access to all types of people.
